Product Features:
Hydrogen peroxide is an inorganic compound with the chemical formula H2O2. Pure hydrogen peroxide is a colorless and transparent liquid that is miscible with water in any proportion.
Pure hydrogen peroxide is stable at any concentration. For instance, a 90% hydrogen peroxide solution decomposes at a rate of 0.0010% at 50°C. However, when it comes into contact with heavy metals and their salts, dust, alkaline substances, or is exposed to light (especially with wavelengths ranging from 3200 to 800°A) or heat, its decomposition can be accelerated, releasing a significant amount of heat. Contact with rough surfaces can also accelerate its decomposition. The decomposition reaction is as follows:
H₂O₂ → H₂O + 1/2O₂ + 97.8 kJ/mol
The decomposition reaction rate is closely related to temperature, pH value, and impurity content.the decomposition reaction rate also increases. The above factors should be fully considered in production, storage, transportation, and use to prevent the occurrence of unsafe accidents.
Hydrogen peroxide is a strong oxidant, but it exhibits reducing properties when encountering stronger oxidants such as potassium permanganate or chlorine gas. Its chemical properties are active and can participate in decomposition, addition, substitution, reduction and epoxidation reactions.
Hydrogen peroxide has weak dibasic acid properties and can react with certain bases to form salts.
The hydrogen peroxide produced by this process method should comply with the standards of GB1616-2014.
